What to do if you can't login to Equifax

If you can't log in to your Equifax account and need to check your credit report, you can do a few things.

How can I find my Equifax account username?

Your username is the email address used to set up your Equifax account. If you have multiple email addresses, search for "Equifax" in each of your email inboxes to try and find their welcome email.

The Equifax email might’ve accidentally gone to your spam inbox - make sure to check there as well. However, remember that most email providers (like Gmail, for example) will automatically delete emails labelled as spam after 30 days. This means that the email from Equifax might have been deleted.

What you need to do is try to reset your Equifax login password by using every email address you have, or at least the ones you think you might have used when creating the account.

How can I find my Equifax account password?

If you know which email you used to create your Equifax account but don't remember the password, you have two options:

  1. Search your device settings (if you're on a phone) or your browser settings (if you're on a laptop) for "passwords". Then search for "Equifax" or "myEquifax". If you can't find anything, your device probably didn't save the password.
  2. Go to the Equifax login page and click "Forgotten your password?". You'll then have to enter your email address and click "Reset password". Equifax will send a link to your email address that will allow you to reset your password. You'll have to click this link before it expires.

None of these work; how can I get in touch with Equifax?

If you're still having trouble logging in to your Equifax account, you should do these things first:

  1. Clear your browsing history
  2. Delete cookies
  3. Close down your browser completely and open a new window

If nothing works and you still can't log in, contact the Equifax customer support team. The easiest ways to reach Equifax are:

  • Go to the Equifax Help page and click "Technical Help" then "Login Issues".
  • Or call 0800 014 2955. This number is toll-free in the UK, and you can chat with the Equifax staff between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. They'll help you get this sorted.
